Civil Surgeon Dr. Balwinder Kumar Damana is going to the field to personally observe the activities taking place under the "Every Friday Dengue Te War" campaign in different parts of the district. Under this link, the Civil Surgeon along with the anti-larva team at Islamabad went to people's houses and made people aware about dengue. On this occasion, senior medical officer Dr. Manmohan Singh and District Epidemiologist Dr. Jagdeep Singh were also present. The anti-larvae team of the Health Department Hoshiarpur visited 898 houses in the urban area of Hoshiarpur in Islamabad and Bhim Nagar, Guru Nanak Nagar and Marwaha Mohalla. Dengue larvae were found in 33 houses, which were destroyed on the spot.

Dengue larvae were found in 33 houses, which were destroyed on the spot. The people living in the houses were made aware about water drainage and along with this larvicide spray was also done. People are asked to keep containers free of water and to clean and drain water from containers, coolers, earthen pots, discarded items, animal/bird waterers etc. at least once a week. The civil surgeon said that the number of dengue cases has increased rapidly in the last ten days. There have been 256 cases of dengue till today. Because the season is favorable for mosquito breeding and there is no involvement in dengue prevention activities due to lack of awareness among the general public. Due to which the health teams are repeatedly finding Aedes mosquito larvae in the same houses. To avoid dengue, the whole arm and the whole lower should be kept in the morning and evening. Use mosquito nets and repellents to avoid mosquitoes. Dr. Jagdeep Singh appealed to the citizens of the city and said that every citizen should fulfill his responsibility to avoid dengue. Contact the nearest health center when symptoms of dengue appear. Vishal Puri, Bhupinder Singh and others were present on this occasion.
