
The General and the Police Observer visited the counting centers along with the officials
Hoshiarpur - General Observer 2003 batch IAS officer Dr R Anand Kumar and Police Supervisor 2014 batch IPS officer Kushal Pal Singh, appointed by the Election Commissioner of India for Lok Sabha Constituency-05 Hoshiarpur, today visited the counting centers set up for Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha at Riyat-Bahra Group of Institutes and Multi Skill Development Centre, ITI and took stock of the arrangements.
Hoshiarpur - General Observer 2003 batch IAS officer Dr R Anand Kumar and Police Supervisor 2014 batch IPS officer Kushal Pal Singh, appointed by the Election Commissioner of India for Lok Sabha Constituency-05 Hoshiarpur, today visited the counting centers set up for Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha at Riyat-Bahra Group of Institutes and Multi Skill Development Centre, ITI and took stock of the arrangements.
First of all, General and Police Observer Riyat Bahra reached Group of Institutes, where he visited the counting centers of seven assembly constituencies and reviewed the facilities required for security, CCTV cameras, strong rooms, construction of counting centres. During this, Additional Deputy Commissioner (H) Rahul Chaba and SP Manoj Kumar were also specially present.
The General Observer and Police Observer directed the officials that there should be adequate security arrangements at the counting centers and there should be no lapse in security matters. He said that arrangements should be made for the vote counting process as per the instructions of the Election Commission, so that the Lok Sabha elections can be conducted in a transparent manner. He instructed the district police to perform their duty with full hard work and honesty to maintain law and order.
Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner Rahul Chaba said that adequate arrangements are being made to smoothly complete the district enumeration process. He said that tight security arrangements have been made for the counting of votes and no one will be allowed to disturb the law and order situation. SP Manoj Kumar said that no stone will be left unturned by the district police in terms of security during the counting of votes. He said that police activities have been intensified to ensure peaceful conduct of the election process in the district and law and order will not be allowed to deteriorate at any cost.
