SAS Nagar, August 30  During the hearing of the case filed by the villagers against the Municipal Corporation in the honorable Punjab and Haryana High Court against the non-cleaning of the pond located in the village Sohana under the Municipal Corporation, the High Court Taking strict action in this case, the municipal corporation has started the cleaning work of this pond today after the orders given to the commissioner of the municipal corporation to appear personally at the next hearing. Municipal Corporation's Joint Commissioner Mrs. Kiran Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Manpreet Singh and other officials reached Sohana village today and started the work of removing the bushes and other garbage around the pond and cleaning the pond. On this occasion, the cleaning work of this place was started with the JCB machine brought by the corporation. On this occasion, the residents of the village and farmer leader Sz. Nachhatar Singh Baidwan demanded from the corporation officials that before starting the cleaning work of this pond, it should be walled and the illegal occupations in the street leading to this pond should be removed and this street should be rebuilt. He said that due to non-cleaning of the pond, the next hearing of the case filed by the villagers in the honorable high court is to be held on September 6 and the honorable court has asked the commissioner of the corporation to appear personally in this hearing.
