Arniala, July 18- A special consumer awareness camp is being organized for telephone consumers at Scholars Unified Senior Secondary School, Arniala on July 26 at 11 am. This program will be organized under the aegis of Himachal Consumer Protection Council.
Giving information about the program, Council President Jogendra Kanwar said that important information related to cyber crime and safe use of smartphones will be shared on this occasion. Representatives of all major telephone companies operating in the state will be present in the program. Consumers will be able to place their mobile or telephone related complaints before these representatives, which will be resolved on the spot.
He said that in the awareness program, Council Vice President Ranjit Singh will give information about the programs taken by TRAI and Government of India for the protection of telephone consumers related to cyber crime from Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. Apart from this, consumers will also be made aware about vigilance in everyday shopping, rules related to weights and measures, and schemes run by the state government in the interest of consumers.
