
Chief Minister motivates youth to stay away from drugs by running in half marathon.
Chandigarh, July 13 - Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that for about 10 and a half years, our youth have been working unitedly across the state of Haryana against the problem of drugs. In the past few days, a cyclothon yatra was taken out across Haryana against drugs, in which more than 7.5 lakh youth participated. Along with this, marathons are being organized in different districts of the state.

In the past few days, a cyclothon yatra was taken out across Haryana against drugs, in which more than 7.5 lakh youth participated. Along with this, marathons are being organized in different districts of the state.
Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini was addressing thousands of participants in the event before flagging off the half marathon organized on Ambala Road in Kaithal on Sunday morning. Half Marathon brand ambassador Paralympic medalist Harvinder Singh and mountaineer Reena Bhatti also participated in the half marathon.
The Chief Minister himself ran the race and motivated the youth to stay healthy and unite against drugs, so that the state can be completely drug-free. He said that drugs are such an evil that not only devastates the individual, but also the entire family and society.
It not only affects physical and mental health, but also weakens the social fabric. Chief Minister Naib Singh Seni said that our youth are the future of the country. He appealed to the youth to take a pledge today that they will not do drugs themselves and will also make others aware of not doing drugs.
He said that if drugs are eliminated, our youth will be healthy and society, state and country will move forward on the path of progress. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has a vision of making India developed by the year 2047, in which the youth will have an important contribution.
He said that a drug-free Haryana is not just a slogan, but it is the resolve of all of us. Everyone will have to make joint efforts to fulfill it. He said that after seeing thousands of school and college students, sportsmen, police personnel, volunteers participating in today's program, he is confident that our dream of making Haryana drug-free will definitely come true.
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Seni said that to keep the youth healthy and keep them away from drug addiction, sports facilities have been expanded in the state. Along with this, youth are being motivated to fight drug addiction by organizing events like marathon under the Haryana Uday program. Apart from this, a program has been started at the level of Dhakad schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions to protect children and youth from drug addiction.
He said that under the Chief Minister Outreach Program, more such programs will be organized to establish cooperation and coordination between the police and the public.
He said that the state government is not only making people aware of drugs, but also taking strict action against those involved in drug trade. He appealed to the parents to give time to their children. If any youth falls in the wrong company, then they should try to remove him from it.

Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini also ran with the youth and encouraged the participants. After this, the Chief Minister inspected the stalls set up on the way. He reached the venue and distributed certificates to the winning participants.
On this occasion, MLA Mr. Satpal Jamba, former Minister of State Mrs. Kamlesh Dhanda, former MLAs Mr. Leela Ram, Kulwant Bajigar, Chief Minister's Special Executive Officer (Community, Policing and Outreach) Mr. Pankaj Nain, DC Pragati from the District Administration, SP Mrs. Astha Modi were present.
