
Contribution of Rs. 26 lakhs given for Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial under construction in Lohgarh.
Chandigarh, July 13 - Making a noteworthy contribution in the preservation of Sikh heritage, three individuals donated a total of Rs. 26 lakhs to the Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Foundation Trust, Lohgarh.
Chandigarh, July 13 - Making a noteworthy contribution in the preservation of Sikh heritage, three individuals donated a total of Rs. 26 lakhs to the Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Foundation Trust, Lohgarh.
The cheques for the donation amount were formally handed over to the Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal here in Chandigarh. On this occasion, Dr. Prabhleen Singh, Officer on Special Duty, Government of Haryana, who is actively associated with the work of the Trust, was also present.
Donors who came forward to support this noble cause include Mr. Harkaran Singh Boparai, Director of HBS and Space Five Architect Group, who contributed Rs. 11 lakh, Mr. Ashok Sharma, Chairman of a construction group, who donated Rs. 10 lakh and Dr. Avneet Singh Waraich, Member of International Gita Mahotsav Authority and Founder of Waraich Homeopathic Clinic, Pehowa, who contributed Rs. 5 lakh.
It is worth mentioning that the Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial in Lohgarh is being constructed under the guidance of the Foundation Trust in the memory of the unparalleled courage and sacrifice of the revered Sikh warrior Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, who established the first sovereign Sikh regime in India.
The aim of this memorial is to symbolize his bravery and inspire future generations by preserving the legacy of this illustrious figure in Indian history.
