3 month special campaign of financial inclusion schemes started at Gram Panchayat level.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 3 July: The Finance Ministry of the Government of India has started a 3 month special campaign at the Gram Panchayat level from 01.07.2025 to 30.09.2025 to include all the deprived people in the financial inclusion schemes.

Lead District Manager M.K. Bhardwaj informed that special camps will be organized in a total of 332 Gram Panchayats of District SAS Nagar, which include 73 Gram Panchayats of Mohali, 95 of Derabassi, 101 of Majri and 63 Gram Panchayats of Kharar.
During the camp, emphasis will be laid mainly on obtaining KYC documents of inactive accounts to activate Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan accounts, opening accounts of adults who do not have bank accounts yet under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, registration in Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, registration of eligible persons under Atal Pension Yojana, etc.
Apart from this, digital fraud, unclaimed amount (NPA), how to recover deposits older than ten years and re-activating accounts etc. will also be a part of this campaign. For the smooth implementation of this special campaign, a special review will be done by the Deputy Commissioner and Leading District Manager.
Leading District Manager M.K. Bhardwaj further informed that bank officials will be present during the camp and apart from giving various information, KYC documents of Jan Suraksha Yojana and dormant accounts will also be received on the spot. Precautions in financial transactions and measures to avoid fraud will also be discussed in detail.
He informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, accident insurance up to Rs 2 lakh is available for the age of 18 to 70 years by paying an annual premium of Rs 20 and under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima, death insurance up to Rs 2 lakh is available for the age of 18 to 50 years by paying an annual premium of Rs 436.
There is a provision of getting monthly pension in Atal Pension Yojana. He informed that for more information, one can contact his nearest branch.
