Una, July 1- In collaboration with the Financial Services Department of the Center and DC Una, awareness camps were organized in Bitan, Halera Bilna, Sansowal and Bhadaur Panchayats of Haroli Block on financial inclusion flagship schemes. During this, people were made aware about increasing the saturation of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana and re-verification of existing inactive Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana accounts, prevention of digital fraud and access to unclaimed amount and grievance redressal. The camp was chaired by Vice President of Zila Parishad Una, Omkar Nath.
Giving information, Chief District Lead Manager Sanjeev Kumar Saxena said that this awareness campaign will be run in all the panchayats of District Una till September 30. Under the campaign, re-KYC of all accounts including inactive Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana accounts will be done and people will be made aware about protection from digital fraud and safe transactions. Along with this, people will also be given information about their old, unclaimed bank accounts and insurance schemes.
The distribution of claims of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana can also be done during the awareness camps. He appealed to all the citizens to participate in these camps so that maximum information about government schemes can be obtained.
On this occasion, PNB Bank branch manager Kuldeep, Gram Panchayat Pradhan Paramjit, Sohanlal and Anganwadi worker Asha Rani were present.
