
Necessary arrangements will be implemented for the convenience of Divyang voters at polling stations.
Nawanshahr- On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Ankurjit Singh, the District Level Monitoring Committee was directed to ensure all necessary facilities at polling stations to provide a comfortable and pleasant environment to all the Divyang voters of the district during the elections at polling stations.

Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Additional District Election Officer Rajiv Verma said that Divyang voters should not face any kind of problem at polling stations. He said that polling stations should be made according to the convenience of Divyang voters so that they can easily exercise their franchise.
He instructed the BLOs to register the information of Divyang voters in the voter list as well as provide information about the facilities provided to them. He said that the district administration has formed a monitoring committee at the district level, whose responsibility is to create a comfortable environment at polling stations for the Divyang voters of the district. Rajiv Verma said that special attention should be paid to arranging ramps and wheel chairs at polling stations as well as deploying volunteers for their convenience.
He said that the booth level officers should inform the voters in advance about the facilities available for Divyang voters in their respective areas so that they can avail these facilities. During the meeting, Additional District Election Officer Rajiv Verma said that the Election Commission has appointed booth level officers, who will be trained by IIDM New Delhi on July 2.
He directed the SDM to finalize the requirements for this training in time so that there is no problem during the training at the constituency level. He said that 25 BLOs should be appointed for training, after which training will be organized at the constituency level from July 3 to July 17 under the supervision of ERO. SDM Anamjot Kaur, SDM Indrapal of Balachaur and officers of the concerned departments were present on this occasion.
