
An awareness camp was organised at Civil Hospital Tanda as part of the campaign against drug abuse.
Hoshiarpur- As part of the campaign launched by the Punjab government to eradicate drug abuse from the state, an awareness camp was organised today at Government Hospital Tanda under the able leadership of Senior Medical Officer Dr Karan Kumar Saini. Bhai Varinder Singh Masiti, State Awardee Eye Donor Incharge Tanda and SHO Tanda Gurinderjit Singh Nagra were also present on the occasion.

While giving information to the people on this occasion, Dr Saini said that drug abuse has become a serious problem in the state in the recent past. Therefore, a large-scale campaign is being run by the government to eradicate it so that the state can be freed from this unwanted disease.
He appealed to the entire society, especially the youth, to cooperate with strong willpower to free the drug addicts from addiction. He said that the police administration and social welfare organisations are also cooperating fully to carry out this task.
Dr Saini further said that if any person wants to get rid of drug addiction, he can get his treatment done free of cost in government hospitals.
Among others, Dr Harpreet Singh, Dr Shagun, Dr Kartar Singh, Dr Rachita, Avtar Singh BEE, Gurjeet Singh, Kulveer Singh, Rajiv Pal and Jatinder Singh were present on the occasion.
