Patiala, April 30 - During the current Hadi season, 8 lakh 99 thousand 568 metric tons of wheat has arrived in Patiala district till yesterday. Giving information about this, Deputy Commissioner of the district Shaukat Ahmed Pare said that 8 lakh 95 thousand 977 metric tons of wheat has been purchased from the wheat in the mandis of the district.
He said that so far 287930 metric tons of wheat has been purchased from Pangrain, 220743 metric tons from Markfed, 216420 metric tons from Pansap, 132452 metric tons from Warehouse and 38432 metric tons from Wavali. The Deputy Commissioner said that so far the farmers have been paid Rs. 1971.99 crore.
