Hoshiarpur- Child Helpline team conducted awareness campaign in Sunita Devi Anganwadi in Janakpur village and people were told that if you see any missing child or needy child, then immediately call 1098 and they were told that if anyone in the fair forces you to do child labor or beg, then immediately inform us by calling 1098.

This work was done by team members Kulbir and Rajni. And giving pamphlets related to Child Helpline to the people, he said that if you see any needy child during this fair, then immediately inform us by calling 1098. The activities and functioning of Child Helpline number 1098 were explained in detail and information was given about various child rights.
The Child Helpline team also gave information about various welfare schemes being run for children under the Women and Child Development Department of Himachal Pradesh Government. Child Helpline team members Vardan and Madam Rajni gave detailed information to the children about the toll free number 1098.
Through the free child helpline phone service 1098, detailed information was given about the services provided by the child helpline for orphans, semi-orphans, school dropouts, runaways, mentally and physically disabled, exploited, extremely poor, children suffering from child marriage, child labour, molestation victims and children exploited due to any other reason. The participants present were also made aware about the POCSO Act.
In the program, the participants were told that if a minor child comes under the influence of someone, then he should not be ignored in any way. Along with this, the evils of drug addiction and use of social media were also discussed and the advantages and disadvantages of social media were told. Child Helpline team member Vardan explained the difference between safe and unsafe touch to the children.
He also shared some valuable information related to discipline and moral education with the children. Along with this, posters containing information about child helpline were also distributed to all the participants. Posters related to child helpline were also put up on the school's notice board. If you see a child in need anywhere, immediately inform us by calling at 1098.
