New Delhi: Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi was taken into custody by the Delhi Police on Tuesday. Let us tell you that Atishi had reached the landless camp of Kalkaji to protest against the ongoing bulldozer campaign against illegal slums.
Today, when Atishi reached there to meet and support the people living there, the police took her into custody during the protest. During this, Atishi raised slogans along with the locals and opposed the action of the DDA.
On the other hand, on being taken into custody, former Chief Minister Atishi said that the BJP is going to demolish these slums tomorrow and I am being sent to jail today because I am raising my voice for the people of these slums. The people living in the slums will curse the BJP and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
The BJP will never come back. Let us tell you that the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) had issued a notice to the residents of this camp to vacate the slums by June 10, after which heavy police and CRPF personnel were deployed there.
