Hisar:- Working under the able leadership of Superintendent of Police Hansi Amit Yashvardhan, District Inspector Narendra Pal and Head Constable Praveen Kumar posted at Cyber ??Crime Police Station Hansi made the people of village Bas and village Roshan Kheda of the police district aware of cyber crime.
While making the people aware, Inspector Narendra Pal said that a new trick of fraud has come to the fore by cyber thugs. Cyber ??thugs send some amount to your account. On receiving the message, the person immediately opens his UPI account to check his balance.
Along with the money, the fraud must have also sent a request for money transfer. As soon as the person enters his PIN to check the balance. As soon as the PIN is entered, the payment request will be automatically approved and payment will be made from his account.
To avoid this scam, if payment comes to the account from an unknown number, do not check the balance for at least half an hour or enter the wrong PIN for the first time to check the balance. Entering the wrong PIN will cancel the payment request. It is important to be cautious to avoid cyber fraud.
Head Constable Praveen said that in case of any kind of financial or online fraud, register your complaint by calling the national helpline number 1930. Apart from this, you can lodge your complaint at the Cyber ??Crime Police Station or the Cyber ??Help Desk established in your respective police station.
