Immovable property worth Rs 61 lakh and movable property worth Rs 2 lakh of drug smugglers Neeraj Kumar and Sanjeev Kumar has been frozen- DSP Jaspreet Singh.

Hoshiarpur- Immovable property worth Rs 61 lakh and movable property worth Rs 2 lakh of two drug smuggler brothers Neeraj Kumar and Sanjeev Kumar, residents of village Haveli Road, police station Mahilpur, has been frozen. DSP Garhshankar Jaspreet Singh said that this action has been taken under the government's war against drugs campaign. He said that both the drug smugglers are currently in jail and after coming out of jail last time, they had started drug smuggling again. Police was keeping an eye on them for a long time.

After a thorough investigation, the police has frozen their property. Giving information about the campaign against drugs, he said that he is making people aware about the evils of drugs by holding daily meetings in 5/6 villages of his constituency under the leadership of Deputy Speaker Jai Krishna Singh Rodi and similarly, meetings are being held in some villages of Mahilpur under the leadership of MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal and MLA Dr. Ishak Kumar.
He said that he is getting full support of the people under that campaign. Those who earlier considered their family member trapped in drug addiction as a disgrace and did not come forward, now due to the efforts being made by the police, they come forward for treatment without any hesitation and also give information about drug smugglers without any fear.
He appealed to the youth not to be misled about the property and livelihood of such people because such earnings mostly cause loss and only the government has the right over it. On this occasion, police station chief Parwinder Jeet Pal Singh and his team members Gurnek Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Satnam Singh, Ramandeep Kaur Sub Inspector, Amarjit Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Sukhpreet Singh and other employees were present.
