Iranian kidnappers held Jaspal Singh, a youth from Langrua village, hostage and demanded Rs 18 lakh.

Nawanshahr- Jaspal Singh, 31, a youth from Langrua village adjacent to Ajanoha Nawanshahr, who worked as a painter in Nawanshahr, wanted to go to Australia to earn a living. In this regard, he spoke to an agent in Hoshiarpur. The agent said that he could be sent to Australia for Rs 18 lakh. The agent first sent him from Delhi to Dubai.

The agent told him that he would have to stay in Iran for some time, but later they came to know that he had been held hostage by the kidnappers in Iran. The victim's family has appealed to the Punjab government and the central government to bring their son back safely to Punjab. And in this regard, the family has told that Jaspal Singh has been beaten up by the robbers and a video call has come from his son, in which it is said to save him, the robbers are demanding Rs 18 lakh.
In this regard, ADC of Nawanshahr, Rajiv Verma said that this entire matter has come to the notice of the administration. The administration will soon take action against the fraudulent agent and necessary action will be taken to bring Jaspal Singh back to India.
