During this, the students and the local community demanded from the Deputy Commissioner to construct a proper basketball court with Kota stone tile flooring in the school premises. On this demand, the Deputy Commissioner assured to take necessary steps to develop the facility of basketball court. The Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration is committed to strengthening the facilities for the sports development of students in schools so that the sports structures can be further improved and strengthened. He said that under the Samarthya Yojana, many facilities related to education, health, hygiene and skill development are being provided free of cost to the girls of poor families of the district.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration has started the Samarthya Yojana for the upliftment of the poor children of the district. The aim of this scheme is not only to encourage girls from economically backward sections to pursue education and self-reliance but also to instill a sense of self-confidence and self-reliance in them. Under the Samarthya Yojana, many facilities related to education, health, hygiene and skill development are being provided free of cost to girls from poor families. Girls who had left their studies due to financial constraints are benefiting from the scheme and pursuing higher education.
