Una, May 23- There is a great good news for the economically weaker urban families of Una Municipal Corporation area. Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0, they have got a golden opportunity to fulfill the dream of a pucca house. So far 114 applications have been received in the first phase of the scheme.

Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0, they have got a golden opportunity to fulfill the dream of a pucca house. So far 114 applications have been received in the first phase of the scheme. Out of these, more than 90 applications have been received from the areas recently included in the Municipal Corporation area.
Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Una Manoj Kumar said that in the first phase of this scheme, interested eligible families can apply online till 31 May through the unified web portal of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 or the nearest Lokmitra Kendra. He informed that local eligible families of 14 Panchayats included in the Municipal Corporation as well as Town Planning Area (TCP Area) can also apply in this scheme.
This scheme is a golden opportunity for those urban families whose annual income is up to Rs 3 lakh and who are still deprived of their own pucca house.
This will be the eligibility-
He informed that such families of Municipal Corporation area and adjacent town planning area in which the family including husband, wife and unmarried children should not have a pucca house anywhere in India. The annual income of the family should be 3 lakhs or less. It is necessary to have ownership of land in the urban area. He informed that local residents of adjacent town planning area will also be eligible for this scheme even if they are currently living outside the Municipal Corporation limits. Financial assistance up to 2.5 lakhs will be provided to eligible beneficiaries in three installments. The first installment will be given on completion of the work of the house foundation, the second installment on completion of the work up to the roof and the last installment on completion of the construction of the house.
Documents required for the scheme-
He said that to avail the benefits of the scheme, Aadhaar cards of all the family members, copy of the applicant's bank account, land ownership documents, income certificate and affidavit are mandatory. Manoj Kumar has appealed to all the eligible families of the Municipal Corporation to apply in time and fulfill their dream of having a house by taking advantage of this scheme.
