Dr Avtar Singh Karimpuri said that the people of Mohalla Rahimpur who have registries of their houses are also facing the problem of mutation, but the government has clearly shown its anti-Dalit, oppressive, feudal face and has declared their houses illegal through Improvement Hoshiarpur and has pasted demolition orders on the walls outside their houses.
He said that the houses of the people who have registries and mutations are not illegal, but the attitude of Aam Aadmi Party towards the people is irresponsible. He warned the district administration and the government in a strict tone and said that if even a single brick of the house of any poor, labourer, employee is moved, then the Bahujan Samaj Party will launch such a movement at the Punjab level that it will destroy the government brick by brick, the entire responsibility of which will be of the district administration and the Punjab government.
Dr. Karimpuri strongly condemned the government repression on the landless people struggling for land in Sangrur and said that the landless labourers of village Sohian, District Sangrur are struggling to get 930 acres of land, but the Punjab Government by sending more than two thousand police personnel indiscriminately tortured the unarmed people and arrested hundreds of innocent people.
He said that the government should immediately release the arrested people and immediately distribute the government land among the landless people by abandoning its feudal and oppressive mentality. Dr. Karimpuri said that BSP will not tolerate this government repression silently, he has also instructed the BSP leaders of Sangrur to keep an eye on this matter and be ready to provide justice to the victims.
Dr. Karimpuri called upon the Punjabis to join BSP under the "Save Punjab" movement and said that just as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister sister Kumari Mayawati had given lakhs of acres of land to the landless for free, in the same way by forming BSP government in Punjab also, government land will be distributed to the landless.
