SAS Nagar, July 5 - Mohali Police has registered a case under section 217 of BNS against a person named Jatinder Pandit. Giving information in this regard, DSP City 2 S. Harsimran Singh Bal said that this person had complained on emergency helpline number 112 at around 7 pm last evening that one lakh rupees cash and motorcycle was stolen from him by unknown persons.

Harsimran Singh Bal said that this person had complained on emergency helpline number 112 at around 7 pm last evening that one lakh rupees cash and motorcycle was stolen from him by unknown persons.
He said that immediate action was taken by the police in this regard and Inspector Satwinder Singh in charge of Police Station IT City, ASI Gurtej Singh posted on PSC Party Eco-23 and duty officer ASI Prem Chand reached the spot and interrogated the complainant and the surrounding area.
He told that after verifying the secret and open information, it was revealed that the complainant (who works as a contractor) had a conversation with the other party (who works as a labourer for tying iron rods) regarding money transactions.
The complainant had talked about pledging his motorcycle with him and later lodged a false complaint and the matter of missing one lakh rupees was also found to be false. He told that the police has registered a case against Jatinder Pandit, resident of district West Champaran, Bihar (currently a tenant of village Rudka) who had lodged the false complaint and the application is being filed in the honorable court of the area magistrate.
He told that a few days ago also, legal action was taken against a person named Nahid Alam in police station Phase-11, S.A.S. Nagar in connection with giving false information on helpline number 112 and strict action is being taken by the police against those who misuse the time of the administration by giving such false information.
