SAS Nagar, May 20- Mohali Police has arrested two persons and recovered 25.95 grams of Heroin from their possession. Giving information in this regard, DSP City 2 Mr. Harsimran Singh Bull said that under the campaign against drugs being run under the leadership of Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Harmandeep Singh Hans, Inspector Aman, in-charge of Phase 11 police station, arrested Lakhwinder Singh and Suraj Singh, residents of Saharana, Police Station Sadar, District Mansa, with 25.95 grams of Heroin.
A case has been registered against these two under sections 21, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act.
DSP Bull further informed that during strict interrogation of Lakhwinder Singh, he revealed that he used to get Heroin from Sandeep Singh alias Billa, resident of Pind Khilchian Jadid, District Ferozepur. Based on this, Sandeep Singh alias Billa was named in the case and Section 29 of the NDPS Act was added.
On the information provided by Lakhwinder Singh, a raid was conducted at the house of Sandeep Singh alias Billa in Ferozepur, in which 18.61 grams of narcotic powder and drug related money worth Rs 4,78,100 were recovered. Investigation in the case is still on.
