Dalit Chetna Manch announces support to girls and students of distressed families: Purkhalvi.

Mohali May 20- Shamsher Purkhalvi, Provincial President of the social service organization Dalit Chetna Manch Punjab, during a press conference here today, announced that the organization will make every possible effort to fulfill the needs of the girls of weak and distressed families of the state, fulfill their educational needs and bring them to the level of equality so that they can be saved from social humiliation.

Mohali May 20- Shamsher Purkhalvi, Provincial President of the social service organization Dalit Chetna Manch Punjab, during a press conference here today, announced that the organization will make every possible effort to fulfill the needs of the girls of weak and distressed families of the state, fulfill their educational needs and bring them to the level of equality so that they can be saved from social humiliation.
During a press conference held today at the local Army Camp 5, Dalit leader Shamsher Purkhalvi announced in the presence of his colleagues that the organization will leave no stone unturned to improve the economic, social, educational and physical conditions of the weaker sections. He said that awareness meetings will be organized in every village to make the rural people aware of social evils like drug addiction, illiteracy, superstition and family discord and to make them partners in building a just society, in which seminars and dramas will be the main attraction.
Dalit leader Shri Purkhalvi said that to save the youth of rural areas from the clutches of drugs, the organization will provide special financial assistance for sports, for which the leaders of the organization can be contacted at the village level. He said that the organization was established in the year 1999 and in the last 26 years, with the help of donors, an amount of about 10 crore rupees has been spent for the upliftment of the weaker families of the society and building a better life.
In response to a question, he said that troubled by the struggle of the organization to get justice for the victims, the governments of the time made many efforts to harass him by making various baseless allegations against him, but walking on the path of rights and truth, he never cared about those who suffered, due to which he has definitely faced trouble in the past, but he is not disappointed, because work done with honesty is definitely successful in the house of God.
Mr Purkhalvi said that the Central Government has provided full exemption from income tax under section 80C on the donations received by the organization, which is also fully audited. On this occasion, organization leaders Dr. Harpreet Singh Maujpur, Daljit Singh Gill, Gurpreet Singh Chappadchidi, Gurvinder Singh Shambhu and Amrik Singh Mohali were also present with him.
