Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, May 20: It is mandatory for beneficiaries taking the benefit of wheat under the Smart Ration Card Scheme in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district to get e. KYC done for all the family members listed in their card, which can now be done sitting at home.
Giving this information, District Food and Supply Controller Dr. Navreet appealed to the beneficiaries to ensure that eKYC is done.
He said that now the government has started facial recognition through the "MERA eKYC App". With this, beneficiaries can do eKYC for themselves and their family members through their smart phones sitting at home. 
eKYC (electronic know your customer) is a digital process through which the correct identity of the beneficiary is determined by scanning the fingerprints or irises. Beneficiaries who do not get eKYC done may face difficulty in getting ration. 
Therefore, ensure your benefit by getting eKYC done immediately. The state government's objective is that no beneficiary should be deprived of wheat.
