Phillaur/Hoshiarpur- Accepting the challenge of pro-Khalistan terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Vijay Sampla along with his supporters remained stationed at Dr. Ambedkar Chowk in Phillaur from 10 am to 4 pm today.
It is noteworthy that on the night of April 30, someone desecrated the statue of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar in Phillaur, after which Gurpatwant Singh Pannu released a video taking responsibility for it and called for the removal/demolition of all the statues of Dr. Ambedkar in Punjab on April 14. Sampla said that it is because of the Constitution written by Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar that today not only in Punjab but in the entire country, Dalits have got assured participation in the government/administration and have got respect.
Dr. Ambedkar ensured social justice in the Constitution, ensured protection of the rights of every citizen of India and ensured legal equality, he ensured through the Constitution that there is no discrimination on the basis of religion, race, caste, rich-poor, gender or place of birth.
Sampla said that by calling Guru Ravidas Maharaj, whom we consider God, as God, Pannu has insulted Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, the sentiments of crores of followers like me have been hurt.
Sampla finally said that about 15 days ago Pannu had used wrong words for Ambedkar ji and Lord Ravidas ji, but the Punjab government has not yet registered an FIR under sacrilege and SC / ST Act. This exposes the anti-Dalit face of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab.
