Chandigarh, May 16- Eight officers working in the Information and Public Relations Department were promoted today. Two Deputy Directors working in the department were promoted to the rank of Joint Director and five Information and Public Relations officers were made Deputy Directors and one Art Executive was made Deputy Director.
The eight promoted officers were given new posting orders today after the approval of the Information and Public Relations Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains.
These promotions were made after the meetings of the Departmental Promotion Committees held by the Information and Public Relations Department on May 8. In the posting orders issued to the promoted Joint Directors today, Ishwinder Singh Grewal has been posted as Head Office Chandigarh and Manwinder Singh as Joint Director Press/Chief Minister and additional charge Joint Director Border Range Amritsar.
Similarly, out of the six promoted Deputy Directors, Ruchi Kalra has been posted as Bathinda, Rashim Verma as Head Office and additional charge Sri Anandpur Sahib, Navdeep Singh Gill as Head Office Chandigarh, Prabhdeep Singh Kauldhar as Head Office and additional charge Sangrur, Hakam Thapar as Jalandhar and Hardeep Singh as Head Office.
The newly promoted officers joined the Secretary of the Department Mr. Ramveer today and thanked the Minister of Information and Public Relations and higher officials.
