
Nasha Mukti Yatra; MLA Randhawa's warning to drug smugglers; Leave the illegal drug business or leave Punjab.
Derabassi, May 16: As the next step of the decisive battle against drug abuse launched by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on February 24, the government has now started a series of awareness meetings with protection committees at the village and ward level under the Nasha Mukti Yatra, under which MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa today started the campaign from Tirvedi Camp village, which is considered a hub of drug abuse.

Where Derabassi police has arrested many old drug smugglers in the recent past and forced their families to leave the area. MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa praised the Punjab Police personnel.
After this, the MLA met the Panchayats of Bhakharpur and Paragpur villages and welcomed the campaign and pledged to contribute actively in it. On this occasion, MLA Randhawa gave a stern warning to the drug dealers and said that either they should leave this bad business or leave Punjab.
MLA Randhawa said that today is going to be a very important day in the direction of making Punjab drug free. The state government is starting a campaign against drug abuse on a large scale.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have started the Nasha Mukti Yatra from Nawanshahr today. This yatra is a part of the Aam Aadmi Party government's Mahajan Sampark Abhiyan, which aims to spread awareness against drug abuse in every corner of Punjab and to get the youth out of this trap.
While creating awareness about drug abuse, MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa said that if someone in the house takes drugs, then the woman is the most affected, whether it is a mother, sister or wife, because it is a woman who runs the stove of the house and she knows that drug abuse will ruin the house.
According to the government's plan, Gram Sabhas will be organized every day in 351 villages of the state against drug abuse. Three villages of every assembly constituency will be included in this campaign every day. Its objective is to take the Nasha Mukti Yatra to more than 15 thousand villages and wards. MLA Randhawa said that under this campaign named Yudh Nasha Mukti Laila, the government has intensified strict action against drug smugglers.
So far, bulldozers have been run on the illegal properties of 86 drug smugglers. Along with this, 75 drug smugglers have been injured in encounters and Punjab Police has arrested them. On this occasion, officers of all departments including SDM Derabassi, DSP Derabassi were present.
