
7 killed, 6 injured in Indian drone strikes: Pak
Lahore, May 12 - Pakistani authorities today claimed that seven people were killed and six others were injured in attacks by Indian drones in Gujrat city of Punjab province last Saturday. The government official said that the areas of Punjab targeted by Indian drones include Lahore, Chiniot, Pakpattan, Kharian, Sheikhupura and Jalapur Jattan. The official said, "Seven people were killed and six others were seriously injured in Indian shelling and drone strikes in villages along the Indian border on Saturday."

The official also said that the Sheikh Zayed International Airport (airbase) located in Punjab's Rahim Yar Khan district, about 400 km from Lahore, was severely damaged in the missile attack launched by India early on Saturday. "The Indian attack has caused significant damage to their infrastructure, including the Royal Lounge used by the UAE President and his family," he said.
Rahim Yar Khan Deputy Commissioner Khurram Javed claimed that India targeted the airport with both missiles and drones. "The attack destroyed the Royal Lounge and created a 10-foot-wide crater in the apron area of ??the airport," Javed said.
