Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab holds third meeting of Governing Body

Hoshiarpur- Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab held its third meeting of its Governing Body which was attended by senior members from industry and academia. Dr. A. S. Chawla, Vice-Chancellor, welcomed the Hon’ble Chancellor (Chairman BOG) and all the members of the meeting, thanked everyone who attended in person and virtually.

Dr. Sandeep Singh, Hon’ble Chancellor of LTSU Punjab who is also the Chairperson of the Governing Body, welcomed all the members of the Board of Governors (BOG). The esteemed board included eminent academics and industry members including Prof. (Dr.) Rajiv Ahuja; Director IIT Ropar, Dr. Bhola Ram Gurjar Director NITR Chandigarh, Dr. Menu Singh ED AIIMS, Shri Jatinder Pal Singh Nominated Higher Education and Languages Department Punjab, Shri Pawan Bagheria, President Tata Technologies, Shri Jatinder Kumar, Nominated Principal Secretary Finance Government of Punjab, Shri Vitthal Madialkar Director IBM ICE, Prof. (Dr.) Chandan Chaudhary Executive Dean ISB, Shri Sanjeev Mehta Advisor and Head Program Development IBM.
Dr. Kaura shared the vision and mission of LTSU Punjab to provide quality education to the people and highlighted the rapid growth of the university in a short span of time. He further said that LTSU has the necessary infrastructure as per the current requirements and is committed to strengthening it every year to support the growth of its students.
Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura informed the members that LTSU has become the first university to start the program in collaboration with National Power Training Institute, Railtel and NSDC. Dr. Parvinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor further said that the University is working diligently to introduce new government/industry funded programs to reach out to the masses. 
Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, Dean USCM, presented the progress report of LTSU for the year 2024-25. He highlighted all the major events and achievements of the University during the year. Dr. H.P.S. Dhami, Acting Dean USET, informed that currently LTSU is running very successful programs with IBM and L&T Edu Tech in Engineering. 
He further said that LTSU is going to start new industry-based programs in USET with industry partners. Prof. (Dr.) M.B. Guru Raj, Vice President, Business Development and Innovation represented the Industry-Based Skill Development Collaboration Vertical in the meeting. Mrs. Anita Abbi Pro Vice Chancellor Government Projects gave an overview of all the government projects of LTSU.
The members of the Governing Body appreciated the new initiatives of LTSU like Centre for Future Skills at LTSU campus, new programmes being launched by the University in collaboration with industry and promised to guide and support the University in all its future endeavors.
Dr. Rajiv Mahajan Registrar, Dr. N. S. Gill Executive Director, Dr. Navneet Kaur Dean Academic, Shri Vimal Manhotra, Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Engineer M. S. Atwal, Dr. Manpreet Singh and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
