Kapurthala- A special meeting of the Youth Sports Welfare Board was organized at Fighter Sports Kartarpur Road, Kapurthala. In this meeting, Rajiv Walia, President of Youth Sports Welfare Board and District Wushu Association of Kapurthala, informed that the 27th State Level (Boys-Girls) Wushu Championship is going to be held in Kapurthala on 30, 31 May 1 June 2025.
He said that all the members of the Youth Sports Welfare Board gave their full support in this championship and made the championship a success. After consultation with all the members, he prepared the organizer committee of District Wushu Association of Kapurthala in which Prof. Amrik Singh, Jaspal Singh Panesar, Sanjeev Kundra, Sukhdev Singh, Anuj Anand, Gurmukh Singh Dhot, Nitin Sharma, Gopal Kushan, Iqbal Singh, Parminder Singh, Paramjit Singh, Daljit Singh, Sanjay Sharma, Sanjay Malhotra, Somnath Soma, Darshan Singh Bajwa, Pradeep Bajaj, Awadhesh Kumar, Sanjeev Walia, Avneet Kaur Dhaliwal, Baljinder Kaur, Gagandeep Kaur, Ranjit Kaur, Varun, Santokh Singh, Prathampreet Singh were included in the committee.
Rajiv Walia told that Wushu is a recognized sport and the participants of this sport also get opportunities for government jobs. He requested the children of all the schools, colleges, clubs and all the parents to participate enthusiastically in this championship. General Secretary of District Wushu Association of Kapurthala, Gurcharan Singh thanked all the members of the organizing committee.
