
MY Bharat Invites Youth to Enrol as Civil Defence Volunteers
SAS Nagar, 12 May 2025- MY Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is actively mobilising youth across the country to enrol as MY Bharat Civil Defence Volunteers. This nationwide call is part of a concerted efforts to empower young citizens to take up vital roles in national cause, particularly during emergencies and crisis.

This nationwide call is part of a concerted efforts to empower young citizens to take up vital roles in national cause, particularly during emergencies and crisis.
Divulging the details, Isha Gupta, District Youth Officer, NYK said tbat the initiative is aimed to build a well-trained, responsive, and resilient volunteer force that can compliment civil administration in times of natural disasters, accidents, public emergencies, and other unforeseen situations.
In view of the current scenario and emerging security concerns, there is an urgent and growing need to establish a robust, community-based response mechanism. Civil Defence Volunteers play a critical role in this regard by supporting local authorities through a wide range of services. These include rescue and evacuation operations, first aid and emergency care, traffic management, crowd control, public safety, and assisting in disaster response and rehabilitation efforts.
The importance of a prepared and trained civilian force is greater than ever before, and MY Bharat is committed to contributing to this national mission.
MY Bharat, therefore, appeals to its dynamic network of youth volunteers—and all other enthusiastic young citizens—to step forward and register as MY Bharat Civil Defence Volunteers. Both existing MY Bharat volunteers and new individuals who wish to serve the nation in this capacity are welcome to join. This initiative not only instils a strong sense of civic responsibility and discipline among youth but also equips them with practical life-saving skills and training to act swiftly in critical situations.
