Nasha Mukti Yatra will take the 'Drug War' campaign to every home: Ashika Jain.

Hoshiarpur, May 5- Under the 'Drug War' campaign, an important meeting was held today in the District Administrative Complex under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain and SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik, in which heads of various departments of the district participated. ADC Nikas Kumar, all SDMs, police officers and SMOs were also present in the meeting.

Hoshiarpur, May 5- Under the 'Drug War' campaign, an important meeting was held today in the District Administrative Complex under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain and SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik, in which heads of various departments of the district participated. ADC Nikas Kumar, all SDMs, police officers and SMOs were also present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the civil, police and health departments to work in mutual coordination. He clarified that the patients taking medicines after entering OAT centers and de-addiction centers should not face any kind of inconvenience.
The Deputy Commissioner said that now the time for registration of patients and distribution of medicines at the OAT center will be from 8 am to 5 pm, while on Sundays this service will be available only from 8 am to 12 noon. Registration will not be done on Sundays and gazetted holidays. During the meeting, he informed that Nasha Mukti Yatras are being started in the villages of the district from May 7.
These Yatras will be organized daily in three villages of each assembly constituency. The Deputy Commissioner gave necessary instructions to the officers for the successful organization of these Yatras and said that there should be no shortage in the organization.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to spread maximum public awareness through de-addiction Yatras. He said that the objective of this campaign is not only to oppose drug addiction, but also to inspire the society in a positive direction.
