Maur Mandi, April 30 - Member of Parliament from Bathinda Lok Sabha constituency Biba Harsimrat Kaur Badal distributed grant cheques from her MP quota to the villages coming under Maur assembly constituency. Meanwhile, she released a grant of Rs 10 lakh to the Panchayat of Chauke village in Maur constituency for development works. Maur constituency in-charge and former cabinet minister Janmeja Singh Sekhon was present with her.
Giving information, Akali leaders said that Member of Parliament Biba Harsimrat Kaur Badal has given a grant of Rs 10 lakh to Chauke village for development works. They said that this grant of Rs 10 lakh has been released by Member of Parliament Biba Harsimrat Kaur Badal due to the great efforts of former cabinet minister Maur constituency in-charge Janmeja Singh Sekhon.
On this occasion, the entire Akali Dal unit of Shiromani Akali Dal village Chauke also expressed its gratitude to Member of Parliament Biba Harsimrat Kaur Badal and former Cabinet Minister Janmeja Singh Sekhon for releasing grants for the development works of the village.
