
Inauguration of Mehtiana-Phuglana Link Road constructed at a cost of Rs. 59 lakhs.
Hoshiarpur- Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha constituency MP Dr. Rajkumar Chabbewal and Assembly constituency Chabbewal MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar jointly inaugurated the Mehtiana-Phuglana Link Road. The total length of this road is 1.74 km and it has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 59 lakhs.

A large number of villagers and dignitaries were present on this inauguration occasion. Phuglana's Sarpanch Vipan Thakur, Dr. Bartu Ram, Paramjit Singh Sally, Gurmeet Singh Panch, Sukhbir Dhillon, Monu Panch, Sarwar Singh Panch, Prem Singh Saini, Mehtiana's Sarpanch Kashmir Singh, Parminder Singh Pappu, Dharampal Sharma, Jaggi, Happy, Vinod Kumar etc. were specially present in the program. On the occasion of the road inauguration, MP Dr Chabbewal said that this link road will connect two villages and ease traffic and will fulfill the long-standing demand of the local people.
He said that the state government is committed to strengthen the rural infrastructure. MLA Dr Ishank also described this project as a symbol of progress in the rural area. He said that we are constantly striving to provide paved roads, clean water, better education and health services in every village. Both the leaders also made it clear that the politics of development is the priority in Punjab.
On one hand, the construction of roads will provide relief to the local residents, on the other hand it will also promote agricultural and business activities. The villagers also expressed happiness on the completion of this project and thanked the MP and MLA. At the end of the program, Dr Ishank assured the public that similar development works will continue in the future as well.
This inauguration program not only provided convenience to the people of the area but also gave the message that Punjab has now embarked on a new path of progress, where every village, every city will be connected to the mainstream of development.
