The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), S.A.S. Nagar, successfully concluded its two-week intensive ITEC training programme titled “Pharmaceutical GMP Audits and Self-Inspections” on 30th August 2023. This programme, held from 19th to 30th August 2023, saw the participation of 25 professionals from 16 countries, including Ethiopia, Maldives, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Zimbabwe, Nepal, Tajikistan, Niger, Sierra Leone, Armenia, Malawi, Botswana, and Ghana. The participants, representing drug regulatory bodies, pharmacy, and quality control sectors, benefited from expert lectures delivered by industry professionals, academics, and regulatory authorities.
The valedictory function was held at the Convention Centre, NIPER SAS Nagar. Mr. Banoth Rajkumar Naik, Scientist at NIPER and Course Coordinator, presented a comprehensive report on the programme, covering the lectures, hands-on training sessions on GMP audits and self-inspections at NIPER’s facilities, and visits to Ind-Swift Laboratories Ltd. and Punjab Biotech Incubators.
Participants shared positive feedback, expressing gratitude to the Government of India, the ITEC programme organizers, and NIPER for their hospitality. Prof. K.B. Tikoo, Acting Director, NIPER-SAS Nagar, emphasized the importance of the participants as brand ambassadors for NIPER, urging them to apply and disseminate the knowledge gained in their home countries. Certificates were awarded to the participants upon successful completion of the course.
