
The three-day state level Haroli festival had a grand start, the Governor inaugurated it.
Una, April 27- Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Sunday inaugurated the three-day state level Haroli Utsav-2025 from Kangra Maidan in a grand manner. During this, Lady Governor Janaki Shukla and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and his daughter Aastha Agnihotri were also specially present.

Through the procession, the message of “Nashe Ko Na, Zindagi Ko Haan” was given to drug-free Una- drug-free Himachal.
The procession of the state level Haroli festival echoed with the tunes of patriotic songs.

The program started with a grand procession from Prof Simmi Agnihotri College Haroli to Kangra Maidan, in which an awareness message of “Nashe Ko Na, Zindagi Ko Haan” was given to the society through Nashe Ko Mukt Una- Nashe Ko Mukt Himachal based on the topic of drug prevention. Self-help groups, school students, cultural groups and representatives of various social and educational institutions participated enthusiastically in this procession. Also, the patriotic tunes in the procession mesmerized the land of Haroli.
Inauguration of Development Exhibition
During this, the Governor also inaugurated the development exhibitions set up by various departments at the venue. In these exhibition stalls, information about the public welfare schemes, achievements and development programs of the state government was given to the general public. He observed each stall and obtained detailed information from the concerned officials. Various stalls like stalls of products prepared by self-help groups and nutritious dishes on the lines of Eat Right Mela were set up in the exhibition stalls.
On this occasion, Chintpurni MLA Sudarshan Singh Bavalu, senior Congress leader Ranjit Rana, Ashok Thakur, Raj Bhavan Secretary Chandra Prakash Verma, Vinod Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal, Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh and public representatives of various panchayats of Haroli Assembly constituency were present.
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla formally inaugurated the first cultural evening of the festival by lighting the lamp. He also released a multi-coloured souvenir depicting the cultural, social and developmental glimpse of Haroli assembly constituency from the stage of the festival ceremony. He extended his heartfelt best wishes and congratulations to the people of the area for the three-day state level Haroli festival.
Address of Deputy Chief Minister
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that the state level Haroli festival has infused a new enthusiasm in the area by giving the message of social harmony, cultural pride and public awareness. Various cultural programs, sports activities, and programs focused on social issues will be organized for the next two days. Along with this, he thanked the Deputy Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla for attending the Haroli festival as the chief guest.
At present, Haroli has emerged as a model of development in the whole of India. A different saga of development has been written in every field on the land of Haroli. Haroli has emerged as a leader in every field including education, road, health. Haroli has established very big dimensions in the field of education. Big educational institutes like Triple IT, three degree colleges, nursing and law colleges as well as two industrial training institutes have been opened here. By getting education from these educational institutes, the children of Haroli are serving in big health institutions at high positions and bringing glory to the Haroli assembly constituency as well as the state. He said that for the convenience of the people of Haroli, the offices of the superintending engineer of Jal Shakti Department, Public Works Department and Electricity Department have been opened, due to which the people of Haroli are getting these facilities at their doorsteps. He said that Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that at present Rs 500 crore is being spent on various schemes of drinking water and irrigation in Haroli assembly constituency. He said that in this state level Haroli festival, various cultural and Punjabi singing along with LED Longman, Robot Transformer, International Women Drum Band will be the main center of attraction.
