Hoshiarpur- Today ADGP Shri Naresh Arora, ADGP Human Rights, visited Hoshiarpur to review the progress of Punjab Government’s flagship campaign “War against Drugs”.
Hoshiarpur- Today ADGP Shri Naresh Arora, ADGP Human Rights, visited Hoshiarpur to review the progress of Punjab Government’s flagship campaign “War against Drugs”.
He attended Samrak Meet (Community Outreach Programme) which was attended by more than 900 people from all seven sub-divisions of Hoshiarpur District. Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur, SSP, SDM, PDPOs and other visiting officers were also present on the occasion.
Later, under Mission Operation Seal 10 which deals with sealing of State and District border check posts, he visited Manguwal check post on Himachal border and inspected the security arrangements.
He then held a crime review meeting with all visiting officers and SHOs to review the progress on NDPS front.
Key results so far:
• 166 FIRs registered under NDPS Act
• 253 accused arrested
• Assets worth more than Rs 25 crore seized/sealed under Section 68F
• 27 drug addicts sent to de-addiction centres through court order under Section 64A
