Amritsar, April 22 – BSF has arrested a smuggler with heroin from the border area of ??Amritsar during a joint operation conducted in collaboration with Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
Giving information about this, BSF officials said that based on solid information from the Intelligence Wing, in a joint operation, BSF and NCB Amritsar personnel raided the house of a suspicious person in the border village of Raniya in Amritsar last night. A person was arrested from there with 2 packets (804 grams) of suspected narcotics heroin hidden under a pile of bricks in the courtyard of his house. A keypad mobile phone was also recovered from his possession.
They said that the arrested smuggler is a resident of Raniya village in Amritsar. Further interrogation is being conducted to ascertain his links with drug smugglers. He said that the arrest of the narco smuggler along with the recovery of the heroin consignment has been possible due to the vigilance of the BSF personnel and solid information from the intelligence wing.
