Hoshiarpur- Sukhmani Sahib Paath was organised in a spiritual and peaceful atmosphere on the birth anniversary of Dr. Harbaksh Singh IAS (1981 batch). The programme was organised by his sons Vikramaditya Singh and Singheshwar Singh, who recalled their father's glorious legacy of public service, honesty and compassion.
Known for his significant role in social welfare, industry and humanitarian work, Vikramaditya Singh conceptualised and led the entire programme. He said that this programme is not just a tribute but a promise that as a family they will carry forward the values ??and ideals of their father.
Dr Harbaksh Singh, a gold medallist from Amritsar Medical College and a topper in IAS, remained an example of fearlessness, honesty and compassion throughout his career. Even after his demise in the year 2013, his life values ??continue to be a guiding light for the new generation. The Singh family - which includes Dr. Singh's father S. Gulzar Singh (who retired as Deputy Collector in Jalandhar) and mother Bibi Prakash Kaur (a virtuous and cultured mother) - have long been known for service, honesty and spirituality.
Now their sons Vikramaditya and Singheshwar are not only preserving these traditions but also contributing to the path of new ideals towards society. The spiritual event was attended by people from various walks of life, including prominent social workers, political leaders, religious figures and well-known industrialists.
The gathering was a testimony to how inspiring the life of Dr Harbakhsh Singh was. In his emotional address, Vikramaditya Singh said: "My father's life was his message - humility, dedication to ideals and public welfare. Now it is our duty to carry this light forward." The ceremony held in his native village highlighted the cultural richness, spiritual seriousness and unity of Punjab. Those present shared emotional memories and core values ??of life in memory of Dr Singh.
At the end of the ceremony, the family expressed their gratitude to everyone and concluded with a promise to carry forward the legacy of Dr. Harbakhsh Singh through social service, development work and humanitarian initiatives.
This ceremony was not just a traditional ceremony – it was a living tribute. It was a tribute event built on love, service and compassion, through which a family continues to spread the same light in society even today, which Dr. Harbakhsh Singh shone with throughout his life.
