MLA Randhawa dedicates development works worth Rs 34.67 lakh in five government schools in Lalru area of Derabassi

Lalru (S.A.S. Nagar), April 15, 2025: MLA Derabassi, Kuljit Singh Randhawa has reiterated the commitment of the Punjab government to transform government schools into state-of-the-art educational institutions. He asserted that the government led by S. Bhagwant Singh Mann is focused on enhancing both the infrastructure and the quality of education in the state.

Nagar), April 15, 2025: MLA Derabassi, Kuljit Singh Randhawa has reiterated the commitment of the Punjab government to transform government schools into state-of-the-art educational institutions. He asserted that the government led by S. Bhagwant Singh Mann is focused on enhancing both the infrastructure and the quality of education in the state.
While dedicating the newly completed development works in five government schools in Lalru area to the students on Tuesday, MLA Randhawa stressed that in the last three years, the Punjab government has spent Rs 2000 crore on renovation and construction in 12,000 government schools to promote a student-friendly learning environment.
The total cost of the projects inaugurated in Lalru area today is Rs 34,67,100 and these include Rs 4.46 lakh for construction of boundary wall and renovation of classrooms at Government Primary School, Batauli, Rs 1 lakh for construction of boundary wall at Government Middle School, Batauli and Rs 8,39,100 for renovation of classrooms, Rs 15.02 lakh for new classrooms at Government Primary School, Jaroat, Vikh, Rs 2 lakh for construction of boundary wall at Government Primary School, Kurli and Rs 3.80 lakh for boundary wall at Government Middle School, Kurli.
Apart from the heads of these schools, the Panch-Sarpanch and respected people of the area, Education Incharge Gurpreet Virk were present on the occasion.
