Nawanshahr,- A meeting of the office bearers of the United Kisan Morcha of District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar was held at Barandari Bagh in Nawanshahr. In this meeting, District President of Kirti Kisan Union Surinder Singh Bains, District Secretary Tarsem Singh Bains, Sukhwinder Singh of BKU (Qadian), Gursewak Singh, Rawal Singh of BKU (Lakhowal) and Nirmal Singh Aujla, Harvinder Singh Chahal of Rashtriya Kisan Union participated in the discussion.

On this occasion, the speakers strongly condemned Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and said that the arrested farmers should be released immediately and the loss of property of the farmers should be compensated. Punjab Police should be punished. There is no law in Punjab. The police beats up whoever they want, locks them up in the police station without any reason, these are the symptoms of a police state.
This meeting strongly condemns the Bhagwant Mann government. An appeal is made to all the farmer unions, farmer women, brothers, youth and all sections of the district to reach Nawanshahr on 28th March at 11 am so that the excesses committed by the government and the police can be answered.
