Una, March 26- As per the instructions of the Women and Child Development Department, a new system of distribution of nutrition in Anganwadi centers has been implemented in Una district through the Nutrition Tracker App. Now nutrition will not be available without Facial Recognition System (FRS) and mobile number registration. This information was given by District Program Officer Narinder Kumar after felicitating the supervisor and Anganwadi workers of Circle Panjawar of Child Development Project Haroli. He said that this honor was given to the supervisor and Anganwadi workers for completing 100 percent facial recognition system in the month of March 2025.
He said that nutrition distribution in 1364 Anganwadi centers of the district will now be completely online through the Nutrition Tracker App. No beneficiary will get nutrition without face ID verification. Facial recognition system will be mandatory for children from 6 months to 3 years, pregnant women and lactating mothers to get ration. It will be mandatory for all beneficiaries to get e-KYC done and link their mobile number with Aadhar. This new system provided by the Women and Child Development Department in the Anganwadi centers of District Una will increase transparency and nutrition will reach the right beneficiaries.
Narender Kumar told that in the month of March, Circle Bhaira in Project Amb, Circle Jasana in Project Dhundla, Circle Ambota in Project Gagret, Circle Panjawar in Project Haroli and Circle Fatehpur in Project Una have registered the highest number of Facial Recognition Systems. He said that the percentage of Facial Recognition System of District Una has increased from 13 to 90 percent.
