Gariaband, March 22- Security forces have recovered Rs 8 lakh in cash, explosives and Naxalite literature in Gariaband. Speaking to ANI, SP Nikhil Rakhecha said, “Gariaband police have succeeded in disrupting the supply system and support system of Naxalites. A joint operation was conducted involving teams of Gariaband police, STF, Cobra and CRPF and they succeeded in recovering the Naxalite dump.”
He said that Rs 8 lakh in cash, several explosives and Naxalite literature have been recovered from the dump. The SP said that an FIR has been registered in this case and the source of this Rs 8 lakh will also be investigated. Action will be taken against all those involved in this. This action was taken after security forces killed 30 Naxalites in two separate encounters in Bijapur and Kanker districts of Chhattisgarh.
