Hoshiarpur- Swachh Bharat Mission Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur ambassador cyclist Balraj Singh Chauhan met Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Madam Ashika John IAS today after New Delhi Indo Nepal, 1044 km cycling event and welcomed him by presenting Nepal's traditional Rudraksha garland and crown on his appointment in Hoshiarpur.
At this time Balraj Chauhan informed Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain about his cycling journey and said that till now he has cycled 1 lakh 7500 thousand kilometers and has represented Hoshiarpur by participating in programs organized in the country and abroad.
The Deputy Commissioner was very impressed by this and appealed to the youth to take guidance and said that to remain physically and mentally healthy, they should participate in sports as much as possible so that drug addiction can be avoided in the present times.
It is noteworthy that under the Swachh Bharat Mission, Balraj Chauhan cycles 80 to 100 kilometres every day to various cities, towns, schools and universities to spread the message of saving the environment, staying plastic-free, donating blood and saving water.
