Kharar, March 8: On the auspicious occasion of International Women's Day, a special function was organised by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha, Kharar Mandal 2. The function was led by Dr. Prabha Mishra, President, BJP Mahila Morcha, Kharar Mandal 2.
On this occasion, social, political and economic empowerment of women was discussed. The women present at the function were informed about their rights, government schemes and various welfare policies, so that they can become self-reliant and play their important role in the society.
Dr. Prabha Mishra, in her address, said that today's women are playing an increasing role in politics, economy and every field. She emphasised that the BJP government is constantly making efforts for the upliftment of women and their empowerment. She encouraged all women to get good education and pay special attention to skill development, so that they can stand on their own feet and make their strong identity in the society.
On this occasion, other senior members of Mahila Morcha also shared their views and motivated women to become aware. The women present in the program appreciated this approach. On this occasion, Indu Pal Sharma, Raj Sharma, Ashu Puri, Seema Sharma, Alka Bhatia, Sukhjinder Kaur, Ramandeep, Monica Sharma, Sweety and other members of BJP Mahila Morcha were present. On International Women's Day, this motivational program gave the message to women to become aware of their rights and become self-reliant.
