Desh Bhagat University team wins 14 medals in All India Inter University Grappling Championship

Mandi Gobindgarh, March 7- Desh Bhagat University's men and women grappling teams have brought laurels to the university by winning a total of 14 medals by showcasing their excellent talent in the All India Inter University Grappling Championship held at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.

Mandi Gobindgarh, March 7- Desh Bhagat University's men and women grappling teams have brought laurels to the university by winning a total of 14 medals by showcasing their excellent talent in the All India Inter University Grappling Championship held at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
The university's men's team secured second position in this competition. The team achieved this great feat by winning 4 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals. Details of winning athletes: Gold medalist: Ankur - 68 kg (GI), Gajendra Hooda - 74 kg (GI), Aman - 66 kg (GI), Sahil - 98 kg (No-GI), Silver medalist: Ankur - 68 kg (No-GI), Sahil - 98 kg (No-GI), Ajeet Chaudhary - 66 kg (No-GI), Vinay - 82 kg (No-GI). Bronze Medallists: Mohit – 98+ Kg (No-GI), Vikram – 50 Kg (No-GI.
Similarly, the Women’s Grappling Team of the University also won 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal. The names of the winning women athletes are as follows: Gold Medallists: Anshika Antil – 50 Kg (GI), Anshika Antil – 50 Kg (No-GI), Silver Medallist: Tamanna – 62 Kg (No-GI), Bronze Medallist: Raunak Hooda – 46 Kg (GI).
