S.A.S.Nagar, 06 March 2025:- Under the guidelines given by Shri Deepak Pareek IPS Senior Superintendent of Police District S.A.S.Nagar, Shri Harinder Singh Mann PPS Superintendent of Police Traffic Karnail Singh PPS Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic, as part of the campaign against drugs and awareness about traffic rules, a special seminar was organized today to make the employees of Bestech Tower, Focal Point-1, Industrial Area Phase 9, Mohali aware about following traffic rules. The main objective of this seminar was to make the employees aware about following traffic rules.
During this seminar, the employees were also told that under section 199A of Motor Vehicle Act, if a child below 18 years of age drives a vehicle, then his parents can be imprisoned for 3 years, fined up to Rs 25,000 and the person giving the vehicle to a child below 18 years of age can also be imprisoned for 3 years or fined. Along with this, the employees were made aware about the Good Samaritan Scheme run by the government and were told that if any person helps an accident victim, then he will be given Rs 2000 (under Farishte Scheme) by the government. On this occasion, the employees and other staff of Bestech Tower, Focal Point-1, Industrial Area Phase 9, Mohali thanked DSP Traffic for organizing the awareness seminar.
