3 March Hoshiarpur- Prof. (Dr.) Rattan Singh of Punjab University Chandigarh organized a special seminar on Constitutional Laws at Rayat Bahra College of Law. Students of 4th, 6th, 8th and 10th semesters of BA LLB (Hons) participated in it.
College Principal Dr. R.N. Singh welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of constitutional laws. He said that such sessions help the students to have a deeper understanding of the judiciary and the provisions of the Constitution.
During the seminar, discussions were held on Supreme Court, Human Rights, Article 21 and Constitution Amendment. Prof. (Dr.) Rattan Singh explained the doctrine of basic structure in simple language and highlighted its role in protecting the Constitution. He also explained the importance of judiciary by giving examples of landmark judgments of the Supreme Court.
Students actively participated in the session. College Head Dr. Priyanka Puri welcomed Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Singh and motivated the students to understand their role in protecting the Constitution and democracy.
