Hoshiarpur- There has been a shortage of doctors at Civil Hospital Mahilpur for a long time, but Dr. Baljinder Kumar MS (General Surgeon), who has been serving in the hospital for about a year, has been performing operations on stomach diseases such as stomach and gallbladder surgery, uterine tumors, abdominal hernias, appendix, inguinal hernias, penis and scrotum surgery, bowel operations such as hemorrhoids, fistula, and hernia surgery, every Tuesday and Friday, proving to be a messiah for the poor.

SMO Dr. Jaswant Singh Thind said that Dr. Baljinder Kumar has performed more than 600 minor and 113 major surgeries till now which have been successful and the patients are not facing any problem. He said that the surgeries in the Civil Hospital are done free of cost on Ayushman Card.
He said that considering the work done by Dr. Baljinder Kumar, the Health Department Chandigarh has also praised him over the phone. Dr. Baljinder said that even for the diseases of patients on a large scale, surgeries are being performed with new technologies due to which the patients not only get financial assistance, but with these technologies the treatment of the patients has also improved a lot.
