
Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital celebrates National Periodontics Day
Mandi Gobindgarh, February 26 – National Periodontics Day was celebrated by the Department of Periodontics at Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital, an integral part of Desh Bhagat University, in collaboration with the Dental Club. On this day, the foundation of the Indian Society of Periodontology was laid, which aims to promote and expand the knowledge and science of periodontology in India.
Mandi Gobindgarh, February 26 – National Periodontics Day was celebrated by the Department of Periodontics at Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital, an integral part of Desh Bhagat University, in collaboration with the Dental Club. On this day, the foundation of the Indian Society of Periodontology was laid, which aims to promote and expand the knowledge and science of periodontology in India.
This year’s celebration was very special, as (ISP) is celebrating its Golden Jubilee Year i.e. 50th anniversary of its establishment. The one-day celebration turned into a week-long event, which included various activities and competitions for both patients and students. These included awareness talks, dental camps, rangoli competition, face painting competition, happy smile competition and reel making competition. Students and staff members actively participated throughout the week.
Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur inaugurated the event by releasing golden coloured balloons in the sky as a symbol of golden jubilee celebrations of ISP. Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur distributed gifts and certificates to the winners of the competition. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Vikram Bali, Principal, Desh Bhagat Dental College.
