Five-day capacity building workshop for teachers inaugurated at Triple IT Una

Una, February 24- A five-day capacity building workshop for teachers was inaugurated at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Una on Monday in collaboration with the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh. Dr. Jagwinder Singh Pandher, Associate Professor, Department of Humanities and Management, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, attended the program as the chief guest.

Una, February 24- A five-day capacity building workshop for teachers was inaugurated at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Una on Monday in collaboration with the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh. Dr. Jagwinder Singh Pandher, Associate Professor, Department of Humanities and Management, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, attended the program as the chief guest.
In his address, he said that the objective of this workshop is to upgrade teaching methods, integrate digital tools in education and empower teachers with innovative teaching techniques, so that teaching and learning outcomes can be improved. Emphasizing the importance of continuous development of teachers, he said, "Such training workshops play an important role in empowering teachers with modern teaching strategies, promoting innovation and improving the learning experience of students."
This workshop was coordinated by Prof. S.S. Gill and Prof. The workshop is being conducted by Dr. Meenakshi Sood (NITTTR, Chandigarh), Dr. Tanu Wadhera, Assistant Professor, School of Electronics (SoE) and Dr. Ankur Kumar, Head & Assistant Professor, SoE, IIIT Una. Their expertise and leadership are playing a vital role in conducting the workshop effectively.
During this five-day workshop, experts from industry, academia and NITTTR Chandigarh will conduct interactive sessions on Outcome-Based Education (OBE), digital teaching tools, effective classroom management, research-based teaching methods and student engagement strategies. Participants in this workshop will be able to apply best practices in teaching through practical training and interactive discussions.
Teachers from IIIT Una and other institutions are actively participating in this workshop. At the conclusion of the workshop, certificates will be distributed to the participants who successfully complete the training.
Prof. Manish Gor, Director, IIIT, highlighted the importance of continuous development of teachers and said that education and technology are constantly evolving, so it is necessary for teachers to update their teaching capabilities regularly. This workshop will help teachers learn new teaching methods, use digital tools and adopt research-based teaching techniques."
He further added that IIIT Una is committed to creating an educational environment that encourages sustainable development and excellence in education.
